... at the Tucson, AZ, Air Force Base Anniversary Gala in September, at a Benefit for the Ronald McDonald House in October, and at several private events in the last few months.
The S.E.E.D.S. Gala put a price on my head ... and it's $9,100 !
KCBS's Ann Martin led the bidding for an elegant, private, catered dinner for 20 at Descanso Gardens' historic Boddy House, featuring a set by Teresa Parente accompanied by Sean Paxton, and it drew a startling winning bid of more than $9,000, which will help fund the Garden's youth programs.
GOSPEL HEAVEN!
While on vacation in August, I was asked to solo with a terrific Gospel Choir at the 5,500-seat Amphitheatre of New York's Chautauqua Institution, led by Pastor Ronnie "Diamond" Hoard (of the Ohio Players). 130 voices drawn from 9 area cities raised the 133-year old roof! So now I've had my 15 minutes of Gospel fame.
